I always advocate for whatever feels most aligned with where you are in your life.
However, if you fall outside of the cisgendered, heteronormative, and/or monogamous relationship, there is some type of coming-out process. It's okay if it doesn't feel right to have that in your profile right now.
If possible, I encourage you to be open about your exploration. It allows people to know right from the beginning whether you align with their own relationship desires. And if you don’t feel ready to put it in your profile, you can mention it in your first messages with someone. Comment on their relationship type and mention your alignment or explain your own desires.
