If you have not already closed your profile, you may download your data directly in the Hinge app. Exports are typically ready within 30 days, but may take longer depending on how large the file is and the volume of requests we receive. Your data will be available for 48 hours before it expires in protection of your privacy and security. Please keep in mind that not all data is accessible: for example, your data export will not include personal information about other Hinge members you matched or interacted with, to help ensure their privacy and safety.
To request your data within the Hinge app:
- Sign in to the Hinge app.
- Tap your Photo Icon on the far right of the navigation bar
- Tap Settings
- Tap Download My Data
- Select your Country
- Tap Download My Data again
- Confirm your email address
- Tap Submit
Banned members may also use our in-app download-my-data tool. From the Ban Notification screen please scroll down to the Legal section. In that section you will select Download My Data to start your request. After you submit your request, you will receive a notification verifying that we have received your request and once again, when your data is ready for download. The export will expire after 48 hours. If you have not accessed your data within that time, you will need to resubmit your request.
If you closed your Hinge account, you will not be able to use our in-app Download My Data feature, as you no longer have a Hinge account. In that case, or if you are having trouble using the Download My Data tool for any reason, you may request your data by contacting us directly:
- Tap Submit A Request below.
- Choose Privacy Request as the support topic
- Select I want to access or download my data in the dropdown
Please note: Due to recent adjustments with our third party messaging system, we can only store messages for Two Years. As a result, messages older than two years will no longer be visible in the app. If you need to access conversations older than two years, you can do so by downloading your data.
