Pausing

Daters can temporarily pause their Hinge accounts at any time. This prevents users from being shown to new users, allowing them to focus on chatting with their existing matches.

To pause your account:

1. Within the Hinge app, tap your Photo Icon on the far right of the navigation bar.
2. Tap the Gear icon .
3. Toggle the Pause switch to the on position.

This will prevent you from being shown to new people, and you'll still be able to chat with your existing matches.

To Unpause your account:

• Toggle the Pause switch to the off position.
• Or, tap Unpause Profile on your Discover screen.

Please note: Pausing your account will not pause your subscription. 

If you sent someone a Like before you paused your account, that person will still receive your Like and can Match with you.

Additionally, Top Photo will continue to test and reorder your photos when your account is paused.
