Upgrading Your Subscription
If you want more tools to make meaningful connections, HingeX includes features like Priority Likes and Enhanced Recommendations to help your profile stand out. If you’re a Hinge+ subscriber upgrading to HingeX, your new subscription will start immediately.
Note: Upgrading your subscription will not change the length of your Subscription. In order to adjust the length of your subscription, you'll need to cancel your subscription, then subscribe at your preferred length.
Upgrading on iOS / iPhone:
If you subscribed using the Apple App Store or your Apple ID:
Apple will automatically issue a prorated refund for any remaining Hinge+ time. Your billing date will reset to the date of the upgrade purchase.
If you subscribed using Hinge payment (powered by Stripe):
Proration is automatically applied as a credit toward your new HingeX plan. If your remaining credit exceeds the cost of HingeX, the leftover amount will be applied to your future renewals. If the credit is less than the HingeX cost, you’ll only be charged the difference. Your billing date will reset to the date of the upgrade purchase.
Upgrading on Android:
Any remaining Hinge+ time will be credited to your new subscription, and your new billing date will be visible in Google Play.
Upgrading your Subscription - Special Cases:
Upgrading via Hinge payment (powered by Stripe) from iOS to Android:
If you subscribed via Hinge payment on iOS and later try to upgrade from an Android device, you’ll see an error message.
To upgrade, either: Return to your iOS device and upgrade under the Manage Subscription section of the Account Settings page, or cancel your subscription’s auto-renewal, wait for the remainder of your subscription to lapse, then resubscribe on your Android device.
If you subscribed using Hinge payment (powered by Stripe): You can Cancel your subscription at any time by following the steps provided by Stripe, our secure billing partner. Be sure to use the email address where you receive Hinge Subscription emails, even if it's different from the email linked to your Hinge account.
Once you cancel, you’ll need to return to Hinge to upgrade your subscription.
Hinge payment purchases outside the US
Hinge payment is currently limited to the US. If you subscribed via this method but changed your App Store location to a region outside the US, you won’t be able to upgrade using Hinge payment.
To upgrade, either change your App Store region back to the US and upgrade using Hinge payment. Or cancel your subscription, wait for the remainder of your subscription to lapse, then resubscribe via the App Store in your new region.
Downgrading Your Subscription
