Having trouble getting started? No worries—here’s everything you need to know about creating and managing your Hinge account.

Creating a Hinge Account

To keep your account secure, Hinge requires all users to verify their accounts with a mobile phone number.

1. Download the Hinge app for iOS or Android.
2. Tap Create Account.
3. Enter your Phone Number.
4. You’ll receive an SMS text confirmation code - enter it to continue

5. Link an Email Address to your account.
6. Once you receive a confirmation email, enter the code to verify.

Want extra login options? After linking your phone and email, you can also connect your Google Account or Apple ID for easy access.

How to Change Your Email Address

Need to update your email? Here’s how:

1. Tap your Photo Icon (far right of your navigation bar)
2. Tap the Gear Icon to open Settings.
3. Scroll down and tap your Email Address to edit.

How to Link Your Google Account

You can Connect your Google Account to your Hinge profile by 

1. Tap your Photo Icon on the far right of your navigation bar
2. Tap the Gear Icon to access your Settings
3. Scroll down to Connected Accounts
4. Tapping on the Toggle next to Google Account

When the toggle is purple, your Google account is linked.  

Linking your Google Account is different from linking Gmail—it only connects your login, not your email.

How to Link Your Apple ID

You can Connect your Apple ID to your Hinge profile by 

5. Tap your Photo Icon > Gear Icon .
6. Scroll down to Connected Accounts.
7. Tapping the Toggle next to Apple ID.
8. When the toggle turns purple, your Apple ID is linked, and you can use it to login.

How can I disconnect my Apple ID / Google Account?

You can disconnect your Apple ID / Google Account from your Hinge profile by: 

1. Tap the Photo icon > Gear icon .
2. Scroll down to Connected Accounts.

Tap the Toggle next to Apple or Google so it turns gray.
