Match Note helps daters get a better sense of compatibility upfront, leading to higher-quality matches that are more likely to turn into meaningful connections and real-life dates. Think of it as a way to share something important—like a personal value, relationship intention, or fun fact—that can help spark the right conversations with the right people.
How to Add a Match Note
You can add a Match Note (max: 255 characters) by updating your settings. Once marked as visible, your note will be automatically shown to all matches before they can start a conversation.
How Match Note Works
A Match Note appears after both people have liked each other. If a user has a Match Note, the other person must view it before the match is complete.
At that point, the recipient has two options:
- Acknowledge the note to start the conversation
- Unmatch if they feel the information affects their compatibility
By sharing a little more upfront, Match Note helps create more intentional matches and better conversations.
Existing matches shouldn’t see Match Notes that were added after the match was made.
