How can I turn my Last Active status on/off?

We added a Last Active status feature to show an approximate time frame of when a member was last on the app. The two options you might see are: Active Now and Active Today. 

The status will appear on a Hinge member's profile just below their name. You can turn Last Active status on/off within your settings page. This will also prevent you from seeing Last Active statuses from other members.     

How can I turn my Last Active status on/off?

• You can display or hide your Last Active status on your profile by following the steps below: 

1. 1. Within the Hinge app, tap your Photo Icon on the far right of the navigation bar

   2. Tap the Gear Icon
   3. Locate the Show Last Active Status section:

1. 1. Decide if you would like to display or hide your Last Active Status 
      • To display your last active status, tap on the toggle so it turns purple 
      • To hide your last active status, tap on the toggle so it turns gray 
   2. Tap x when you’re happy with your changes 

If you decide to hide your last active status, other Hinge members can’t see your active status, and you won’t be able to see theirs.

Will my Matches see my Last Active status?

• Your Matches will not see your Last Active status. Your Last Active status is only visible to other Hinge members when they view your profile in Discover, in Standouts, or on their Likes You tab.

Why can't I see someone else's Last Active status?

• There are a few reasons why you might not see someone's Last Active status:
  • The user has decided to hide their Last Active status
  • The user has not been Active on the app in the past day
  • Your own profile has Last Active status disabled
