If you wish to make a report about the profile of someone you’re no longer matched with on Hinge, you can do so by locating your Past Matches list. The safety of our daters is a top priority, and we want to be informed of behavior that may go against our Terms, whether in the app or out on a date.
To Access Your Past Matches List:
You can find your Past Matches list in the Safety Center, by tapping your Photo Icon and the Safety tab on the Profile Hub.
.
Your Past Matches list includes the profiles of daters you’ve unmatched with or who have unmatched with you in the past 30 days. You can use this list to report the account of someone who made you feel concerned, uncomfortable, or otherwise violated our Community Guidelines.
To protect both your privacy and theirs, you’ll only see:
- Their first name
- The date that the profiles unmatched
You won’t be able to see their current profile, including their photo or anything they’ve updated since unmatching.
Who will I see in my Past Matches List?
You’ll see all unmatched connections from the past 30 days, as long as:
- They still have an active Hinge account (even if their account is paused)
- At least one message was exchanged
If the account of someone you’re trying to report isn’t showing up, it could be because:
- Their account is deleted
- You unmatched before a conversation started
- You’ve already submitted a report
If you’re ever in doubt about this process or have ongoing concerns about someone you previously interacted with, you can still always submit a report directly to our team.
How can I Report a Past Match?
To report a user from Unmatch List, tap Report next to the user's name. Then, select a relevant reason for your report.
We take reports very seriously and ask that you provide as much detail as possible. The information provided during reporting helps our teams investigate and take the appropriate action.
Once your report is submitted, that user’s account will no longer appear in your list. Your Report Reason is always confidential, and users are not notified that they have been reported.
Please note: Reporting someone does not remove you from that user’s Past Matches list.
